Southwest Airlines says deal in place with pilots, ending 4 years of talks
After months of escalating rhetoric that included a call for the ouster of CEO Gary Kelly, Southwest Airlines' pilots union announced Monday that it has reached a tentative agreement with the airline that could bring to an end four years of contract negotiations.
The deal comes less than a week after about 900 pilots picketed outside Southwest's home base at Dallas Love Field, where they continued criticism of the airline for protracted negotiations that have dragged on since 2012. Click here to read more
