One week after DFW Airport approved millions in incentives for airlines to connect to new destinations, American Airlines has done just that. The Fort Worth-based carrier announced the first nonstop flight to Rome from DFW Airport. American will also fly to Amsterdam. Both are seasonal routes. Neither the airport nor the airline cited incentives but Rome was a target city.
